Building Practical LLM Apps and Automations w/Ryan Hayes

It feels like everyone is building LLMs and chatbots these days, and rightly so! ChatGPT and LLMs have made canned if/else chat flows feel as dated as a calendar.
But are Chatbots all LLMs are good for?
In this talk Ryan Hayes will show you some examples of the real power of LLMs within the context of applications. You’ll learn how production LLM apps like ChatGPT and Github copilot differ from the base LLM models (and why your local ones are sometimes awful in comparison).
You’ll learn about some of the frameworks for building LLM apps, like Langchain and Semantic Kernel, and then, a special tool to help you build LLM apps using No-Code while at the same time learning some of these full-code frameworks!
Bring your laptop if you’re inclined and you can become an AI developer during the talk as you follow along during the demo portion!

TriDev is a monthly software development meetup with a wide range of topics in order to mix a wide range of people. Topics include code, IoT and maker projects, VR/AR, design, soft skills, leadership, and more.
Each meetup starts at 6PM with a few minutes of chat and networking. At 6:15 a speaker gives the talk on the topic of the night. We try to limit the talk to an hour, so at 7:15 we can start our giveaways. We try and dismiss around 7:30 to have some time for discussion or extra Q/A with the speaker for folks who want to hang around, but allow for others to get home or to other obligations if needed. After the talk, we move to Main Street Pizza where our food sponsor, TekSystems, supplies pizza (on your own for drinks)!
